We are open all major holidays.  Once in a while, for a week in January, the City of San Antonio Downtown Operations drains the River Walk for repairs. Bud Light Mardi Gras River Parade Festival

February 25, 2017, 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
Location: Arneson River Theatre & 2 1/2 mile downtown area of the River Walk

A procession of decorated floats transforms the River Walk into a floating Mardi Gras celebration. Krewes of costumed revelers and live entertainment celebrate San Antonio style.

Enjoy live music, entertainment and food trucks. The public is encouraged to come dressed in masks, costumes, and beads. Free admission.

River Parade: 4-6 p.m. (2 ½ mile downtown area of the River Walk)


Jazz on the River

February 25, 2017-February 28, 2017
7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Location: 2 1/2 mile route, downtown River Walk

Enjoy jazz music as bands float on the river. Grab a spot anywhere downtown on a patio.

Get your jazz fix with everything from brass bands, trios and full on jazz bands as they float on the beautiful River Walk with sounds of jazz filling the air each night from 7-8pm. Book a table at your favorite River Walk patio to enjoy. Free admission.


Murphy’s St. Patrick’s Day River Parade & Festival

March 17, 2017-March 18, 2017
1:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Location: La Villita — 418 Villita St.

March 17 & 18, 2017, 2:00 p.m. Dyeing of the River Walk Green (transformed into the River Shannon).

March 17-19. St Patrick’s Day Artisan River Walk Show, Booths are located along the River Walk extension close to the Shops at Rivercenter

March 18, 4:00 – 6:00pm Murphy’s River Parade occurs on 2-1/2 miles of the San Antonio River with 15 decorated barges filled with bagpipes and drummers, Irish step dancers, music, Kelly singers, former and current Irishmen of the Year, Alzafar Shrine Color Guard, Harp & Shamrock Society of Texas members and corporate sponsors. Parade route follows: Homewood Suites, Drury Plaza, Aztec Theatre, Hyatt Hotel, Rivercenter Mall, Convention Center, Arneson Theatre

Murphy’s Irish Stout beer and green beer will be sold at the Arneson River Theatre along with Irish and other ethnic foods. Several bagpipers will grace the barges along with other entertainers. This event started in 1968 and has been organized by the Paseo del Rio Association and the Harp & Shamrock Society of Texas since the beginning.
