Join Centro San Antonio as they announce Downtown’s 2015 King and Queen at Got Medal, Bohanan’s spring event that celebrates the beginning of Fiesta®. This event is your chance to get a head start on your Fiesta® revelry with tasty cocktails, delectable bites and colorful medals, all while supporting a worthy cause. In the Courtyard at Bohanan’s, on Tuesday, April 14 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Bohanan’s, and Houston Street Charities will each unveil their 2015 medals and celebrate with Centro’s new downtown royalty.

In addition to flavorful snacks and imaginative medals, the evening will showcase two specialty libations, including the Rosso Corsa, the official cocktail of the 4th Annual San Antonio Cocktail Conference; a portion of the proceeds from each $10 cocktail will benefit Houston Street Charities and Centro San Antonio.

Houston Street Charities is the non-profit organization created by Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood and Mark Bohanan to oversee the San Antonio Cocktail Conference and other charitable endeavors of the downtown steakhouse. Since its inception in 2012, Houston Street Charities has donated more than $355,000 to children’s charities.

Centro San Antonio’s King and Queen of Downtown is a fundraising program benefiting Centro educational programming and events, including the Julian Castro Future Urban Leaders Scholarship Program, Urban Renaissance Luncheon series, and family-friendly events at Travis Park.

“Got Medal is a wonderful chance for us to celebrate and collaborate – two of the things that Houston Street Charities and the San Antonio Cocktail Conference do best,” said Houston Street Charities Executive Director, Cathy Siegel. “We’re excited to co-host another great event at Bohanan’s and give back to the community at the same time.”

“Joining forces to celebrate Fiesta® and a great cause has become a tradition of our own,” said Bohanan’s Executive Chef and Owner Mark Bohanan. “We are proud to be able to continually support local causes through Houston Street Charities.”
